After a long of work, childcare and housework, often the last thing we think about is exercise. But this is one move you will look forward to doing. Yoga Squat Twist wrings out tension from the muscles that run along the spine--those muscles that have been keeping us upright all day long. This pose also provides a very deep and effective stretch for the lower back. At the same time, it works your thighs--bonus!
Try it once, and you will likely make this part of your evening routine. It feels so good, you may start doing it several times a day, whenever you feel tightness in your back. Breathe deeply throughout, and listen to your body to determine how long to hold the pose.
