Lifetime Achievement Award presented to WVFSL's Vice President

Rolland B. Peacock III, Vice President, Commercial Lending for Wallkill Valley Federal Savings & Loan, will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 Orange County Distinguished Citizen’s Award Dinner.  The dinner is hosted annually by the Hudson Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America to help support the programs they offer to the young men in our community. This year’s event is being held on Thursday May 12th at 6pm at the West Hills Country Club on Golf Links Road in Middletown, NY. Mark Fellenzer PE, principal at Fellenzer Engineers, LLC will be receiving the Distinguished Citizen Award while Mr. Peacock, Rolly, will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. Upon hearing that Rolly will be honored for his Lifetime of Achievement, Michael Horodyski, President of Wallkill Valley Federal Savings & Loan said: “We have always known Rolly to be a very active member of the community. We not only retained Rolly for his wealth of banking knowledge but also because his dedication to our community, which resonates directly with the mission of Wallkill Valley Federal.  We have been honored to have Rolly as a member of the team and are proud of the recognition he rightly deserves.” 

The Hudson Valley Council fully supports the mission of the Boy Scouts of America in their mission to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime. The Hudson Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America provides support and scouting opportunities for over 7,500 youth in the Hudson Valley. They partner with over 185 different community organizations and have more than 3,000 active adult volunteers. Proceeds from the Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner will be used to continue these services and opportunities.

Rolly is a career banker who is very involved in the community serving others both as a volunteer and community leader.  His 40+ year banking career has included positions in branch management, commercial credit, corporate training, human resources, sales, private client banking and commercial loans.  He has worked for KeyBank, Goshen Savings Bank, TD Bank and Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan where he presently serves as a Vice President and Commercial Loan officer.  His community work began with the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs and continued with service on the Executive Boards of several local not for profits including:  Arden Hill Foundation, ORMC Foundation, Greater Hudson Valley Health System, McQuade Family Services, Leadership Orange, Community Foundation of Orange and Ulster Counties and Orange County Economic Development Corporation.  Rolly also had significant leadership roles at the BSA Council Level as Treasurer, VP-Finance, VP-Venturing and Council President of the former Hudson-Delaware Council.  He began his involvement with The Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout reaching the rank of First Class.  He continued scouting as an adult serving in various leadership positions including: District Chairman, Webelos Leader, Cub Master, Pack Committee Chairman, Troop committee member and a merit badge counselor.
