Work that Core

Windmill Pose

Yoga poses perform many functions simultaneously: they work balance, strength and flexibility while cultivating deep breathing and a sense of well-being. Windmill Pose is no exception. This pose deeply stretches the muscles of your torso along with your hamstrings and lower back. The twisting motion effectively strengthens and tones your waist. As you flow through the pose from side to side, your breath will deepen and lengthen.

Do Windmill Pose anytime you need a deep stretch of your entire torso. Don't be surprised if you are a little sore the next day; this whole-body stretch targets the midsection very effectively.
