What can I do if my child hates vegetables?

Dr. Janet Sullivan of Hudson Health Plan gives us the answer

Don't fight about it with your child. Use a triple strategy to achieve success:

  • First, make vegetables look and taste good. Encourage kids to help with the recipes--no requirement to taste.
  • Second, make vegetables "normal" --include at least one hot or cold vegetable with every lunch and dinner.
  • And third, be sneaky. Hide vegetables in other foods. Pureed vegetables can be added to soups, sauces, casseroles, pasta and even baked goods.
