What are the signs and symptoms of serious infections?
Maria Bernardez, MD, of Orange Pediatric Care provides the answer
When a child is sick, most parents are concerned with high fevers. While it is concerning, there are other things that could tell you that it is time to seek medical help as soon as possible. A child who is not drinking, not urinating, and lethargic might be dehydrated. A child who is breathing hard and fast might have problems with his lungs. A child who is delirious, complaining of neck pain or headache needs to be brought to the ER immediately.
