Dutchess County

A Very Fluffy Halloween. October 27-29, 31

Enjoy this fun guided farm tour that lets you meet the animals of Lilymoore Farm and Dreaming of A Chance pigeon sanctuary. See alpacas in Halloween costumes, goats too – who knows maybe the llamas will join in the fun this year. Come dressed up for the event or just let our alpaca Lady Valentina Von Sparkles shine. Friday, 3-5pm - Black Cat Scavenger Hunt & Main St. Trick-or-Treating, Pick up scavenger hunt passports at participating stores. Get your passport stamped for every Hocus Pocus black cat you find in participating businesses. Prizes for the more you find! Saturday - all day. Black Cat Scavenger Hunt. Trunk or Treat. October 27

Join Hyde Park Roller Magic as they transform the parking lot into a Halloween wonderland, filled with creatively decorated trunks and a plethora of candy-filled surprises. Dress up in your most boo-tiful costumes and embark on a thrilling adventure, going from trunk to trunk to collect goodies, play games, and even snap some wickedly awesome photos. If you would like to give out candy at this event, please DM us or call the rink 845-229-6666 to be added to our list. Join us for some not-so-scary fun at our Halloween Spooktacular Party! Get ready to see your favorite museum with a fun and spooky twist. Come explore our Halloween themed exhibits, a mysterious haunted house and creepy science experiments. We’ll also have trick-or-treating, a costume parade and much, much more! Halloween Wicked Weekend. October 27 & 28

Join the cool kids for spooktacular fun for the kids on Friday and Saturday! Friday at 6:00 pm come to an outdoor movie night with all the fun and fixings. Bring your own chair but leave everything else to us. Saturday get up early to start the day with a fun hike through Vassar Farms at 10:00 am. Travel down the street at 12:00 pm for lunch and fun. Halloween just got a little more thrilling at LEGOLAND® New York! The LEGO®  Monster Party returns this year with live shows, limited-time attractions, and, of course, tons of Brick-or-Treating. Join us for some frighteningly fun entertainment on weekends throughout September and October– all included in regular day admission. Don’t forget your costume! Haunted farm with different attractions, food, fun, shopping, and music which can all be enjoyed before or after your scare experience! It’s that time of year again! Join Town of Newburgh Emergency Medical Services as we celebrate our 6th annual trunk or treat event! Have some spook-tacular family fun as you sharpen your observation skills as you search for clues and other hidden surprises along the no-scare I SPY Halloween Trail! But keep your eyes open… you never know who -- or what -- you might meet during this special “scavenger haunt!” Find all the hidden items and receive a prize! This self-guided activity is a great way for families with little ghouls and goblins to celebrate Halloween, so don’t delay because it will surely be a scream! Trick or treat yourself at the FREE Sugar Loaf Halloween Festival Trunk Or Treat at The Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center from 11am-1pm. Then attend the Halloween Festival from 1-5pm. The festival features a vendor village, a witches meet & greet, Jack o'lantern contest, fall treats and bar, music and games, witches sorting ceremony, and lots more. Get ready for lots of kid-friendly, Halloween-themed fun on the farm! At the Stony Kill Spooktacular, you can go on a costumed Spooky Barn Tour, hop on the Hay Wagon for a ride through the fields, and enjoy s’mores and other treats fireside. Be sure to visit the Not-So-Haunted I Spy Garden (4–5 p.m.), make potions (4–6 p.m.), experience Slithers and Scales (4–6:30 p.m.), and, if you dare, walk the Haunted Gardens (6–7 p.m.). Bring cash for s’mores, food truck fare, etc., as well as a flashlight to navigate back to your car. Rain date: Sunday, October 29.


"Nightmare on Werner" is a Terror Maze that has over 20 bone-chilling scenes straight from your worst nightmares! New terrifying beings have joined the nightmare cast of live characters, and fun new animatronics populate the maze. *Parents are free with paid child's admission during non- scare hours ONLY. Visit Wayward Ranch Animal Sanctuary for our Halloween Open House and meet our rescue small animals, dogs, cats, pigs, goats, and equines! Tour our facility, learn about the rescue work we do, and see how to get involved! Halloween Fest. October 28

The festivities start with the MyKingstonKids Halloween Parade leaving Kings Plaza near Hannaford Supermarket and will end at the Kingston YMCA on Broadway. All community organizations, businesses, churches, individuals, groups, and residents are welcome. Vehicles, walkers, and bands are encouraged!! Line up is at 1pm. Step off at 2pm. The MyKK Halloween Fest event is a family fun event great for all ages. Expect a great deal of special Halloween performances including singers, costumes, various types of music, magic, lots of dancing and so much more. With Halloween coming up the don't miss a chance to ride the Catskill Mountain Railroad Pumpkin Express Trains that have an added bonus - passengers will be able to select their own pumpkin to take home and decorate. At HHS’s third annual Halloween Craft Fair & Scavenger Hunt, your child will have the opportunity to complete three spooky crafts, participate in a scavenger hunt of the National Historic Landmark District, and enjoy an array of Halloween treats and goodies. Children will take all crafts home and may choose between a bag of candy or an allergy-free, “teal pumpkin” approved bag of treats as their scavenger hunt prize. All ages are invited to get into costume a day early and enjoy this fun daytime pre-Halloween event at the Ashokan Center. Explore the campus and challenge your eyes and ears with our spooky and historic scavenger hunt, enjoy live entertainment, and showcase your creativity in the costume contest! Sullivan County

Peace, Love & Pumpkins. October 27-29

Wind through our garden trails and marvel at thousands of unique hand-carved Jack-o-lanterns and glowing pumpkin art. Delight in displays featuring Woodstock festival icons, dinosaurs, mermaids, witches, and much more! Halfway through the walk, take a break to enjoy a drink, get a snack, warm up by the fire, and on select nights, hear live music! 200 Hurd Road, Bethel. 6:30pm. 


A FREE fun-filled day of fall activities like making apple cider and Halloween-themed crafts and an evening of spooktacular excitement on our haunted trail (if you dare)! Lunch and dinner included. Advance reservations are required. 2000 Frost Valley Rd, Claryville. 9am

Find out what trickster has bewitched the denizens of Teatown’s forest and work together to awaken them from their magical slumber. Together, we will enter the Enchanted Forest for a guided adventure featuring a cast of whimsical characters and familiar forest friends. Costumes are optional but encouraged! Keep it spooky but keep it safe by wearing comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. This event takes place outside. Please, no strollers or dogs. Join Molly the Museum Dog and some of her closest firefighter friends for a unique event you will not soon forget. Joining Molly will be local firefighters with their decorated firetrucks giving out treats. Come inside the Museum and collect even more treats from the trunks in the Museum! Collect treats, play games, and vote for your favorite firetruck and trunk. Have a safe and spooky pre-Halloween celebration at the Museum!
