Tone Your Waist with Side Stretch

Seated Side Stretch for Waist

When we hear the word "yoga," we often think of bending forward to touch to toes or trying to get a foot behind the head. Sadly, side bends are often overlooked. Yet this simple seated posture is very beneficial to good health and well-being. When you incorporate side bends into your practice, you will enjoy the feeling of freeing up your rib cage to allow for deeper breathing. You will also feel less stiff and more fluid and flexible in your daily activities that involve twisting and reaching. Do this pose at least once a day, and you will gain a new appreciation for the ease of movement side bends bring to your daily life.
