Oh Valentine's Day! The sweet scent of chocolate truffles and candy hearts waft through the air. I know what you're thinking and it's okay... I'm sick of chocolate too! Not to mention, the thought of my kids being on a sugar rush for an entire day sends me into a manic state of horror. We've rounded up our favorite Valentine's Day recipes your kids will love, sans chocolate!
1. Heart Pizzettes
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough
- Sliced black olives, green peppers, pepperoni, mushrooms, etc. (optional)
- 1/3 cup pizza sauce
- 3/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Preparation:
- Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease with cooking spray.
- Sprinkle a little flour on your work surface and use a rolling pin roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Using a 4-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out the dough and place onto baking tray.
- Spoon about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce onto dough leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edge.
- Sprinkle with cheese and place any additional toppings on top.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.

2. Frozen Hearts
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Freeze Time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
- 1 large container of Greek vanilla yogurt
- Fresh ripened strawberries
Preparation:
- Slice strawberries in half, and then cut a “v” in the top to create a heart-shaped berry
- Spoon the Greek yogurt into a shallow dish
- Dip the strawberries into the yogurt making sure to coat thoroughly
- Place the yogurt dipped strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Freeze for 1 hour or until hard

3. Graham Cracker Valentines
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: None
Ingredients:
- Graham Crackers
- Peanut Butter
- Strawberries (cored and thinly sliced)
- Chocolate chips
Preparation:
- Break graham crackers in half
- Spread peanut butter on top of each cracker
- Place two strawberry slices on the cracker to create eyes
- Arrange chocolate chips on the graham cracker to create a smile
