Have you ever taken your kids to a local county fair? If not, make sure you give it a try this summer where they can have a fun time while making great memories. County Fairs are the perfect place for families and friends of all ages!
If you live in or around Orange County, make sure that you attend the
Orange County Fair with your family. This fair is occurring from July 20th-31st so you have plenty of opportunities to not miss this event or even attend more than once! There are so many things for your family to do here including playing games, going on rides, listen to live music, and eating your favorite carnival foods. Families can pet and feed the various animals at the petting zoo and see the lions and tigers in the Jungle Habitat Indoor Safari. Your family will be amazed by the main attractions of the monster trucks and demolition derby!
Has your family ever seen a pig race? Now they can at the
Dutchess County Fair! This fair is occurring from August 23rd-28th in Rhineback. One of their most popular attractions is the Rosaire’s Racing Pigs where you can also place bets on which pig will win. These pigs have hilarious names such as Britney Spare-Ribs and Heavy P! Your family will love the endless amount of vendors containing handmade goods such as jewelry, candles, toys, kitchen utensils, artwork, and much more! The food here has everyone talking so make sure you try the milkshakes and cheese fries!
The Ulster County Fair, occurring from August 2nd-7th in New Paltz, has over 20 rides as well as various attractions and exhibits. Your family will love petting the livestock and eating delicious carnival foods including funnel cake and fried Oreos. The K9 Demonstration exhibit will show your family what police dogs do while your kids can pet the dogs. Can’t get enough of the pigs? The Robinson’s Racing Pigs, which has appeared on major TV networks, will amaze your family with these adorable and fast pigs. Do you have a brag-worthy garden lawn tractor? Present your tractor to this fair to show off your unique tractor; just make sure you take a look at the rules on their website first!
Bring your family together at your local county fair! Mark your
calendars!
