Summer Fun Day #14: Play a round of Homegrown Mini-Golf
Located in the heart of Ulster County sits a small farm with big fun. Kelder’s Farm has become one of Ulster County’s gems in family fun. The ever evolving farm which started over 200 years ago as a small family business has quickly become one of the largest pick-your-owns in the Rondout Valley! Activities include petting zoo, massive jumping pillow, hayrides, wooden playground complete with monster truck and tractor and what once was the first corn maze in the county. One of the most popular activities on the farm though is milking a 1400 lb. Holstein dairy cow! This week (June 26th) you can pick strawberries, kale, sugar snap peas, lettuce and zucchini. If you loved seeing the animals at Kelders, we also wrote about 11 of the Hudson Valley's best zoos, here.
Another highlight of Kelder’s Farm is the Giant Gnome Chomsky who welcomes visitors to the Homegrown mini-golf course on the farm property. Chomsky stands at a whopping 13 feet, 6 inches tall and is the largest garden gnome in the world. There is no admission fee to enjoy the farm but certain activities and picking produce is available for additional fee. Chomsky isn't the only 'World's Largest' found in Ulster County, click here to find more!

Making it past the friendly Gnome, you are treated to Homegrown mini-golf, the world’s only edible mini-golf course. They use real fruits, vegetable, herbs and livestock to set up their course. Everything is edible and filled with vintage farm tools to create a challenging course. Games are only $3.75 and open April through October from 10am-6pm.
As you can see it’s easy to spend a day enjoying the farm with your family. Get their early to enjoy the farm animals when it is a little cooler and quieter, pack a picnic lunch or purchase food for a delicious lunch (yes you can bring your own food!) and then in the afternoon challenge your family to a game of mini-golf. keldersfarm.com
