Dutchess County

July 27

“No OneRocks Alone” Music Festival. Join James’s Warr;ors for an electrifying experience at the “No One Rocks Alone” music festival! The nonprofit transforms Brexel-Schlathaus Park in the Town of Wappingers Falls into a haven for music lovers and mental health warriors. Six Bands: Circle 65, Pandemonium, Follow Suit, The Differents, Jimmy Lee Duo, and Big Ang Acoustic. Food trucks, Raffles. Schlathaus Park, All Angels Hill Rd., Wappingers Falls. 12pm. 

August 3

Mid-HudsonComic Con. Mid-Hudson ComicCon, it’s not just comics, but a pop-culture experience! Join us to meet celebs, artists, vendors of all kinds, and more. MJ Nesheiwat Convention Center, Poughkeepsie. 10am.

August 4

LaGuelaguetza Festival. After a week of exploring and showcasing Oaxacan culture and traditions during Oaxaca Week in Poughkeepsie, the 17th-annual La Guelaguetza festival brings everyone together at Waryas Park for a day-long celebration which includes traditional Oaxacan dances and costumes, artwork, crafts, live music, kids’ activities and a whole lot of authentic Oaxacan food! Bring the entire family, and don’t forget your appetites! Victor C Waryas Park, Poughkeepsie. 1pm.

August 11

Beacon Sloop Club Corn Festival. Featured is fresh-picked, sweet Hudson Valley corn, boiled and served with butter. In addition, treats such as chilled watermelon and ice-cold, freshly squeezed lemonade will be available to quench your thirst on this August day. Two solar-powered music stages, one dedicated to the children to enjoy, will provide live music throughout the day. Numerous food and craft vendors will be on hand. Environmental non-profits will feature displays of local river history and the environment, along with information about their organizations. Families can enjoy many free activities for children. Guests can enjoy the day surrounded by the majestic Hudson River. Pete & Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park, Beacon. 12pm.

August 20-25

178th Dutchess County Fair. The 6-day Dutchess County Fair will feature agriculture, horticulture, turn-of-the-century treasures, working blacksmith shop & gas-powered engine show, and so much more…. Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Rhinebeck. 10am. 

August 23-25, August 30-September 2

6th Annual Sunflower Festival. The Sunflower Festival offers something for everyone! Take a hayride up to a breathtaking five-acre rolling field with about 100,000 sunflowers in a variety of sizes and colors. Take your time cutting sunflowers and taking pictures in one of the most photographed spots in the Hudson Valley. Enjoy live music, wine, and beer served next to the field, entertainment as well as a variety of craft vendors. Guests are encouraged to bring small gardening shears to cut their sunflowers, as our supply is very limited due to a shortage from our supplier. Shears will be available for rent during the festival on a first come first serve basis. Barton Orchards, Poughquag. 4pm.

August 30-September 1

The 33rdAnnual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival. We will welcome hot-air balloonists from all over the country at this festival. We have scheduled over 100 hot-air balloon ascensions throughout the weekend. The festival’s history has evolved into a Hudson Valley tradition and has grown into a full weekend of activities, drawing thousands of visitors from all over the world.  Some of the festival favorites are the evening Majestic Hot-Air Balloon Illumination Moon Glow, tethered hot-air balloon rides, full hot-air balloon flights, helicopter rides, live music and entertainment, food trucks, family activities and more. Orange County

July 18-28

Orange County Fair. We look for the best in family entertainment, local and national music, and awesome amusement rides each year. In 2024, we are back and better than ever with an amazing lineup of Tribute Bands in our new theater, spectacular entertainment like the All NEW Join the Circus Show, Anastasini Circus, Big Bee Transforming Robot Car, and much more! Orange County Fairgrounds, Middletown. 4pm.

July 19

2024 Freedom Fest
The County’s fireworks show 
will include a special salute to our veterans and feature live music as well as a variety of food trucks and vendors. 
Attendees can purchase food from vendors throughout the evening or bring their own (no glass or bottles permitted). Fireworks will begin at dusk. Thomas Bull Memorial Park, Montgomery. 4pm.

July 25-28

The Country Fair 2024. The Country Fair will have something for everyone, including live entertainment, 4-H exhibits, animal shows, amusement rides, tractor pulls, delicious food, local vendors, life skills demonstrations and so much more! Sunday Night Fireworks! 9pm. During the fair, there will be sensory time from 1pm-3 Saturday and Sunday. Middletown. 10am.

July 28

Family Fun Day. Get ready for Family Fun Day! Bring your family and friends for a day full of games, food, music, and tons of fun! Everyone’s welcome! Face painting, bouncy house, music, activity stations, free food, water slide, and more. Don’t miss out on the fun! Faith Temple Family Church, 40 Dunning Rd, Middletown. 12pm.

August 25

Circus Pop! The Giant Bubble Show. This intimate live bubble show in the Sweet Spot Kids Corner will offer drinks, delicious snacks, & a whole lot of bubbles! Circus Pop! The Giant Bubble Show is a production of Suesakul Shows. The show premiered in 2023 and it features Ringling Bros. alumnus, Logan Jimenez. For 60 minutes, Logan will keep children of all ages on the edge of their seats. Logan combines crazy circus stunts such as fire-eating, daring escapes, and crawling inside a giant balloon with incredible bubble artistry. He effortlessly creates bubble sculptures, bubbles that burst into flames, and bubble volcanoes. Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center, Chester. 2pm. 

Sullivan County

August 11

2024 Bagel Festival. More than 150 vendors, the Any Make Any Model Car Show, open mic session, local musicians Faith Kelly and Caswyn Moon, food, a Kidz Zone, and more. Monticello. 9am.

August 16-18

2024 Sullivan County Youth Fair. Come celebrate all that Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County 4-H youth members, leaders, volunteers, and clubs have accomplished throughout the year. From creative still exhibits to entertaining live animal shows, there is something for everyone! Grahamsville Fairgrounds, Grahamsville. 10am. 

August 16-18

Grahamsville Little World’s Fair. 2024 marks the 144th annual fair which will feature agricultural and livestock exhibits and contests, daily entertainment including live music and demonstrations, rides for all ages, an array of great food, games, vendors, and a whole lot more! Admission includes free parking, access to exhibits and contests, and free entertainment! Rides are not included in the admission prices above and are extra fees. Sensory Friendly session (no music or lights) for sensory-sensitive riders only will take place on Saturday from 10 am - Noon before general admission. September 8

NineteenthCentury Base Ball Showcase. The Mountain Athletic Club (MAC) of Fleischmanns will face off with the Connecticut Base Ball Club of Hartford for a double-header of 1864 and 1895 rules baseball. “These are no ordinary ball games,” states Collin Miller, captain of the MAC. “The players and the style of play will resemble what your great, or great-great grandparents would’ve seen over 125 years ago.” Displays featuring local nineteenth-century ball clubs included. Baseball-style refreshments and souvenirs available for purchase. Grahamsville Fairgrounds, Grahamsville. 12pm.

July 20-21

Rosendale Street Festival 2024. Expect over 70 bands across 6 stages, each with a distinct musical theme. Vendors from all over the Hudson Valley will be here to sell delicious food, drinks, and wares. Main Street, Rosendale. 12pm.

Bearsville Green Living Festival. Step into a world of eco-conscious excitement at the Green Living Festival! Discover groundbreaking solutions, dive into interactive workshops, and groove to live music, all while embracing sustainability for a brighter, greener future! We have ample cozy seating on luxurious outdoor sofas, complete with sun umbrellas for your comfort. Whether you’re young or young at heart, there are lawn games galore for everyone to enjoy. Plus, we’ve planned special activities and entertainment specifically for the kids. And if you're craving a serene escape, don’t miss the chance to relax by the tranquil Sawkill Creek. July 27

Soil Festat White Feather Farm. Join us for a celebration of soil at White Feather Farm’s Soil Fest 2024! Immerse yourself in a day filled with workshops, demonstrations, and activities that highlight the importance of healthy soil for our environment and well-being. From hands-on workshops on composting and biochar to a soil safari and scavenger hunt, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy delicious food from the Ground Up Food Truck, sample alternative grain beers from Arrowood Brewing, and close out the day with a lively performance by O’Sullivan’s March. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with nature, learn about sustainable practices, and have a blast. 9am. White Feather Farm, Saugerties. 11:30am. 

July 30-August 4

Ulster County Fair. Spectacular rides, cowboy circus, horse shows, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, fireworks, Carrie McQueen – Stilt Walker, Two by Two Animal Haven, live music, and so much more! Ulster County Fairgrounds, New Paltz. 4pm. 

August 10

35th Annual Blueberry Festival. Vendors, Food, and Music! Please leave pets at home. Rain or Shine. Ellenville. 9am.

August 10

Woodstock Community Festival of Awakening. The pinnacle of the second-annual Woodstock Community Festival of Awakening is an afternoon at Bearsville Park. Kirtan performers from across the Hudson Valley & beyond will be gathering in spirit, sound & dance. Movement by the Stream will integrate creek sounds with the flow of guided meditation in movement. Awakening Talks will take place throughout the afternoon, where “Awakening” in its many guises will be explored. The Healing Garden Market with 40 or more vendors offering their services at the forefront of wellness. Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. 12pm. 

August 17

Bearsville ArtFestival. Exhibits, painting demos, crafts, live music, home-cooked food, handcrafted drinks, historic tours, outdoor adventures, kids’ activities, lawn games, nature trails, and live music.  Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. 12pm.

Rondout Music Festival 2024. Come join a day filled with amazing music, delicious food, and good vibes. Get ready to groove to the tunes of talented artists and bands from different genres. Whether you’re a rock fan, a hip-hop enthusiast, or just looking for a fun time, this festival has something for everyone. Bring your friends and family along for a memorable experience by the waterfront. Don’t forget to pack your picnic blankets and dancing shoes! With a lineup that will blow your mind, the Rondout Music Festival 2024 promises to be an event you won’t want to miss. TR Gallo Waterfront Park, Kingston. 10am.

August 20

Food Truck Fiesta. Live music, food trucks, beer, wine, and water sold by Bloomington Fire Department! The rain date is the following Tuesday. Bloomington Fire Department, Bloomington. 5pm.

August 23-25

Summer Hoot Music & Nature Festival. Three days of eclectic live roots music, restorative time in nature, and inter-generational community building. 2024’s Summer Hoot lineup includes a wide range of genres. In addition to live music on two stages on Ashokan’s Hoot Hill, the Hoot offers a wide range of programming for the entire family including: morning gong baths with Love Waves, all-day activities for children in the Kids Zone including daily kids’ parades, music workshops, blacksmithing demonstrations, garden walks with smoothie tastings, an instrument ‘petting zoo’, a yoga class, guided hikes to Ashokan’s historic Cathedral Falls, craft vendors selling locally hand-made goods, and an all-hours Jubilee Jam Tent where guests can make their own music all weekend long., 9 Fishkill Farm Rd, High Falls. 10am.

September 1

BEARSVILLE Country Music & Dancing Festival. Get your boots ready and join us for a toe-tapping good time at the Country Music & Dancing Festival! Saddle up for a weekend filled with live performances from top country artists, line dancing lessons, delicious southern cuisine, and plenty of down-home fun. Grab your cowboy hat and join us for a hoedown you wont soon forget! Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. 12pm.

River Rock Music Festival. Save the Date for Factoria's next big event! Presenting our first-ever River Rock Music Festival! This is a FREE EVENT at River Outpost. Enjoy live music, craft beer, food, vendors, a dunk tank for charity and rockin’ music all day! River Outpost Brewing Company, Peekskill. 2pm. 

July 26-27

The Peekskill Film Festival. We invite everyone to come out and support our homegrown talent and, especially, our youth in learning valuable tools in the art of filmmaking. We also want people to take in our beautiful city with its vibrant community–including a thriving art, food, and nightlife scene. Peekskill also boasts top-notch cultural institutions such as the landmark Paramount Theater, The Field Library, Peekskill Museum, and the Lincoln Depot. Paramount Hudson Valley Theater, Peekskill. 6pm.

August 17

OZland Festival. Be a part of Peekskill’s Emerald City and see if you can meet the wizard. A fun-filled family day of dreaming in OZland. Jonathan Kruk, a storyteller, will be the host. Outdoor stage performances, music, theatre, and dance. Vendors, arts, retail, and food. OZ Peekskill. 1pm.
