Join your community at a National Night Out event

Due to inclement weather, many of the National Night Out events are canceled or postponed.

We will update the list throughout the day. Scroll down to see your local event.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

HVP has put together a list to make them easy for your family to find.

Dutchess County

National Night Out. There will be food, live music, fun activities, a bouncy house, games, food and drink. This event is FREE to the public. We ask that you bring a donation for the Fishkill Food Pantry as admission to this event. Geering Park, Fishkill. 5pm. CANCELED

National Night Out. The City of Poughkeepsie presents a free National Night Out community-building event to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Bring the kids and spend a fun evening interacting with local emergency responders. In addition to demonstrations, there will be free food, music, fun activities, a petting zoo, a bouncy house, touch-a-truck (emergency vehicles), and more! Poughkeepsie City Hall, Poughkeepsie. 5pm. CANCELED. NEW DATE TBA 

Orange County

National Night Out. We have great local organizations and businesses that will be participating and are planning fun games & activities for kids and families. Everything is free! *while supplies last* 21 Grove St, Middletown. 4:45pm. CANCELED. NEW DATE TBA

National Night Out. This will be a night of family-friendly fun for all ages meant to bring the communities together. We are proud of the community collaboration this year to provide a variety of information booths, games, K9 demonstrations, a helicopter display, food vendors, a sensory area, the West Point Benny Havens Band, West Point Athletics and so much more. West Point, West Point. 5pm.  CANCELED. NEW DATE OCTOBER 1

National Night Out. Bounce houses, First Responder field games, K-9 demonstration, fire trucks, BBQ, ice cream, and more. Kristi Babcock Park, New Windsor. 5:30pm. POSTPONED. NEW DATE: AUGUST 13, 5:30-8PM

National Night Out. Come out and meet your Town of Crawford Police Officers. Enjoy a game of laser tag, see a helicopter land, and maybe even a K-9 demonstration and much more! The event is free. We will have food and giveaways. And don’t forget the free t-shirt to the first 1,000 people who show up! Town of Crawford Park, Pine Bush. 5:45pm. POSTPONED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 25, 6-9PM

National Night Out. Join us for a fun-filled evening with bounce houses for kids, games organized by our Recreation Department, free food and drinks, and a spectacular fireworks display to conclude the night. Local, county, and state businesses and organizations will be present to provide information and giveaways. Bradley Park, Walden. 5:45pm. CANCELED. NEW DATE IS AUGUST 17, 6:30-8:30PM. SAME LOCATION.

National Night Out. Enjoy free food and refreshments, DJ entertainment, free bicycle and prize raffles, games and children's recreational activities, law enforcement, fire department and emergency services demonstrations and displays. Visit the many tables to receive valuable literature, information, and advice from the various community-based organizations and event participants. Riverside Park, Port Jervis. 6pm. RESCHEDULED FOR AUG. 28 6-9PM. SAME LOCATION

National Night Out. Bonfire, bounce houses, face painting, free food, and activities for family fun. Craigville Park, Goshen. 6pm. CANCELED

Town of Newburgh National Night OutFood, Lemonade, Games, Giveaways, and more! Cronomer & Algonquin Parks, Off Powder Mill Road. 6pm. POSTPONED. RAIN DATE TBA

National Night Out. Join us at the Mount Hope Town Park for some family fun! This event is free and all are welcome. Enjoy free food, live music, face painting, free throw contests, bike raffles, and more! We'll end the evening with an amazing fireworks display. We will be collecting Food for the food pantry. We will also have an old prescription drop box on site. Mount Hope Town Park, Otisville. 6:15pm. STILL HAPPENING! They have a large tent and a pavilion to escape potential rain. We will make the best of it, so come out and join us!

Warwick National Night OutEnjoy games, face painting and other fun activities while listening to music by the Black Dirt Bandits. Children will have the opportunity to explore DPW and farm trucks, racecars, and emergency service vehicles in the Touch-A-Truck area. Food trucks will be onsite and once again, the WPD will be barbecuing hotdogs, and The Prevention Coalition and Community Center will be giving away Popcorn and lemonade! Many non-profits and local businesses throughout the town and county will be on hand to provide local resources to residents, offering everyone the opportunity to learn more about their organizations. Warwick Township Veterans Memorial Park, 5-8pm. Ulster County

National Night Out. A fun free event for the community to come and enjoy! Live music, DJ, K9s, bounce houses, food trucks, fire trucks, fireworks, and more! Garrison Park, Wallkill. 4:45pm. NEW DATE: AUGUST 13, 6-9PM. SAME LOCATION

National Night Out. National Night Out is an annual event that brings police and neighbors together to build community partnerships. Join our local first responders for a fun evening of food, games, and entertainment for the whole family! Free BBQ, Ice Cream, Bounce House, Music, Face Painting, Corn Hole, Car Seat Safety Checks, Dunk Tank. New Paltz. 5pm. STILL HAPPENING!
