Pregnancy has left my belly skin sagging

What options do a I have that will change my appearance?

Dr Silverman of New Beginnings Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery discusses abdominoplasty

Giving birth to four children has left my belly's skin loose...no matter how many sit-ups I do! What are my options that will help change my appearance?

Pregnancy, massive weight loss, excessive sun exposure, genetics, and aging can contribute to the loss of skin elasticity. This can manifest itself as upper arm, inner thigh, and abdominal skin laxity.

While regular exercise is important, it will not correct the appearance of sagging skin, but body contouring can. An arm lift or brachioplasty, thighplasty, abdominoplasty or corset body lift/corset trunkoplasty can improve the contour of the targeted area and result in smoother skin.

After weight reduction surgery, or any substantial amount of weight loss, the skin and tissues often lack the elasticity to conform to the reduced body size. Surgical body contouring, such as a corset body lift, can improve the shape and appearance of the body.
