Making Recycled Paper

Teaching kids to recycle can be a fun activity

CELEBRATING HUDSON VALLEY PARENT'S 20TH ANNIVERSARY

The 1st in a series of articles
taken from our 1994 issues.

Recycling was hitting the news and local counties were beginning to insist that we separate recyclables into bins. Not sure how successful we have been over the past 20 years, but in June 1994 we published our first magazine and recycling was a top article. (For those who knew us then, we were called Oodles of Fun. But that is another story.)

With help from Steven Praser, of the Orange County Office of Recycling, we introduced an article on "Teaching Kids How to Make Recycled Paper."

Download the instructions on making recycled paper. Try it out. Take pictures. Send them to our editor. We would love to publish the results.

Have fun making this recycled paper with your kids. And thanks for being with Hudson Valley Parent magazine for the past 20 years.
