Summer is coming to a close, but the fun doesn’t have to stop just yet. Check out these awesome, family-friendly Labor Day events. Spend the day with your family at one of these super fun events and say goodbye to summer the right way!

1. Bannerman Island Labor Day Cruise & Bannerman Island Walking Tour

WHERE: Long Dock- Beacon Point Park, BeaconWHEN: 12:30-3pm on Monday, September 4

Take the family on a Labor Day jaunt on the Hudson River! Just hop on board the Estuary Steward and ride over to Pollepel Island, a tiny jewel set in the Hudson Highlands. The rich history and beautiful scenery of this place will provide a wonderfully enriching day for the whole family. The whole experience is 2.5 hours.

2. Hyde Park Train Station Open Tour
WHERE: Hyde Park Train Station Museum, Hyde Park

WHEN: 5-9pm on Monday, September 4

Come enjoy an open tour. On Mondays Inside the Station you will find displays depicting the area's railroading past, running models trains, and knowledgeable railroad enthusiasts who can answer your questions about the great "Iron Horse".

3.Landscape Sculpture Tours
WHERE: Storm King Art Center, New Windsor

WHEN: 10am-5:30pm on Monday, September 4

Widely celebrated as one of the world’s leading sculpture parks, Storm King Art Center has welcomed visitors from across the globe for fifty years. The pristine 500-acre landscape of fields, hills and woodlands provides the setting for a collection of more than 100 carefully sited sculptures created by some of the most acclaimed artists of our time.

4. Woodstock- New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair
WHERE: Ulster County Fairgrounds, New Paltz

WHEN: 10am-4pm on Monday, September 4

The fairs, now celebrating their 36th anniversary year, feature high quality juried creations of over 200 artists and craftspeople from across America. Features include furniture, architectural crafts, demonstrations, handcrafted specialty foods, healthcare products and live performances by the Hudson Valley’s best musical talent.

5.Columbia County Fair
WHERE: Columbia County Fairgrounds, Chatham
WHEN: 10am-11pm on Monday, September 4

There’s plenty of fun for the whole family with entertainment in the grandstands, rides and games and agricultural activities.

6. CORNucopia
WHERE: Philipsburg Manor, Sleepy Hollow

WHEN: 10am-5pm on Monday, September 4

Featuring a bounty of corn-centric delicacies and a bevy of interactive, corn-related activities, including hands-on activities, craft and cooking demonstration, lots of corny cuisine and live music. Lots of fun for the whole family!

7. Labor Day Weekend Family Retreat

WHERE: Frost Valley YMCA, Claryville
WHEN: 8am on Friday, September 1 to 5pm Monday, September 4

Say goodbye to summer and hello to a new school year with this end-of-season celebration weekend.
