Area community farm programs

The Hudson Valley has a bevy of local farms right at our fingertips. Many families support their neighborhood farms by buying fruits and veggies from local farmers instead of picking up produce that may come from other areas at the grocery store. As a result, farmers markets continue to grow in popularity, as do community supported agriculture – or CSA – programs.
Interested in buying farm fresh seasonal products in bulk for the duration of the growing season? These programs allow members to do just that – and build unique relationships with farmers. The specific offerings vary a bit, but locally grown fresh food is one thing they all have in common.

If you’re looking to get involved with a CSA this year, here’s some of what our area has to offer:

Dutchess County

Fishkill Farms

Fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, and cheese. Open June through mid-November and December through late March. Membership required. There are a dozen CSA's you can choose from. Prices vary.

Great Song Farm - CSA is sold out for 2021

Vegetables and pick-your-own peas, cherry tomatoes, beans, flowers, and herbs. Open June through November. Membership required. $700 for a full share, $400 for a half share.

Hearty Roots Farm

Vegetables, eggs, and pork. Open June to November. Also farms in Woodstock and Kingston. Membership required. 

Poughkeepsie Farm Project

Fruit and vegetables. Open the last two weeks in May (May share), June through November. Membership required. Fees vary based on season, work share or non-work share, and membership level.

Shoving Leopard Farm

Sisters Hill Farm

Orange County

Blooming Hill Farm

Midsummer Farm

Peace & Carrots Farm

Channery Hill Farm

Ulster County

Clove Valley CSA

Huguenot Street Farm

Second Wind CSA at the Four Winds Farm
