Abby Goes to Harmony Garden School of Music

Harmony Garden School of Music

“I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning” -Plato

Abby Girl has regularly attended Harmony Garden School of music in Hopewell NY since four months. She is currently just over three.

Harmony Garden School of Music

When you go into the studio,  there are a couple common areas. Abby girl loves the book nook. We take off our shoes and head into the area where classes are held.

We are usually early and Ms. Rachel always has something out to keep the children occupied before class whether it is some sort of rhythm instrument or book. We have gone through every level of Kindermusik she currently offers and have been in the preschool level class for sometime now. Harmony Garden School of Musicq

At the start of class, there is always a hello song and then she posts what we are going to do each class on the wall. This involves playing different instruments, listening to sounds and various types of music, story time, circle dances and so much more.

This week started a new unit. Toward the end of class, we got our new class materials. They become more and more advanced the longer you are there. We now have two bells with mallets. There is a home material book that has a new activity every week, ours had a educational puzzle game, cds and a couple stories too. After being introduced to the material. We did a couple more things and always close with a goodbye song.

She is an awesome teacher and we plan on continuing on with some of her other programs when we get too old for this class. For individual music lessons, she has music teachers available that teach many different types of instruments and she is launching a brand new child’s choir! She is currently looking for children to join between the ages of 5-8. There is even a dance class now for little ones that Ms. Kerry teaches. When you sign-up for Kindermusik classes at Harmony Garden School of Music, there are also bonus themed classes and events throughout the year and holiday parties. Harmony Garden School of Music

Ms. Rachel is always coming up with new ideas to make the studio that much better and keep everyone engaged. You can tell she really loves what she does and is very in tune to all her students and families needs. No pun intended! Get it? ... in tune. Sorry I had to.

So class came to an end and Abby was off and running. Another successful day at Harmony Garden School of Music. Until next week
