The Newburgh Girl’s Code Club is now accepting applications for
the Summer 2022 Code Camp. Newburgh Girl’s Code Club or NGCC is an initiative
funded by Rowley Family Foundation Fund for Women & Children to address the
issue of gender inequality in the technology field by providing youth access,
education, and exposure to engineering skills in a casual club environment at the
Newburgh Free Library.
This half-day camp will meet on weekdays, July 11-22,
from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Newburgh Free Library’s Main Branch at 124
Grand Street. This two-week intensive coding session is for students ages 10-17
with some previous coding experience, who are eager to learn in a female
centered environment. Scholars who participate will create professional,
sustainable websites and have the option to also participate in mindfulness and
storytelling segments. Apply by June 6th using this link.
