Since 2002, independent
comic book stores throughout North America (and around the world) have been
participating in Free Comic Book Day on the first Saturday in May. Many of your
favorite comic book shops throughout the Hudson Valley are celebrating with
free comics, book signings and even special guest appearances from favorite comics
such as Batman, Spiderman, Ghostbusters and many more! Grab a friend, or bring
the family and participate in the fun. We have rounded up 6 places to score
free comics, deep discounts, meet comic characters in person and enjoy Free
Comic Book Day 2015.

Dragon’s Den- 100 Free comic books to the first
100 people plus, deep discounts, buy 1 get 1 free and special appearances from
Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers, The Ghostbusters, Spider-Man and many
others throughout the day! Poughkeepsie.
Lagrange Library- The library is showcasing
graphic novel artists from the area with a unique art show on Free Comic Book
Day and giving away free comics from 11-2. Poughkeepsie.

Tivoli Library- The library has partnered
with Alterniverse Comics in Hyde Park to give away free comics while
supplies last. Plus, wear a geeky costume and win a prize! Tivoli.
October Country Comics- In addition to the 2015
comic features, October Country Comics is giving away books, magazines, videos
and more of their own on Saturday. There will also be 2015 Free Comic Book Day
tee shirts for sale and a huge discount at the dungeon sale! New Paltz.

Street Comics- Join the party this Saturday with costumed
characters, free comics and much more! Middletown
For the true geeky
grown-ups, grab a sitter and head over to Copperfields Pub for a night of
mingling, drinks and friends old and new at the Orange County NY Geek- Out! From 6-9pm. Must RSVP. Montgomery.
