10 Body after baby tips


Here are the top 10 BODY AFTER BABY tips for getting into shape after you have your baby.

1. Stay hydrated. Drink at least a glass of water per hour. Your body needs water before your brain registers thirst.

2. If you're tired, "eat" some water. Watermelon, oranges, and cucumbers have a high water content and are a delicious pick me-up.

3. "Go fishing". fish contains healthy omega-3 fats your body needs. Try to eat fish for dinner at least 2-3 times a week.

4. Stick to whole grain. Whole grain breads and rices provide critical fiber and energy.

5. Eat a rainbow of fruits and vegetables. From dark leafy greens to deep purple blueberries, and orange citrus fruits, the more color the better.

6. Bond with your baby through exercise. From baby lifts and stretching to walking outside, exercise is a healthy, fun way to connect with your newborn

7. Watch your posture. You're carrying your baby, try to keep your stomach muscles contracted to support your back, and help strengthen your abs.

8. Kegels. You can never do too many!

9. Chocolate helps you sleep. Eat an ounce of dark chocolate before going to bed to sleep more soundly.

10. Stop your food cravings with the HALT system. You may truly be Hungry, but you could also be Angry, Lonely, or Stressed.
