Here in the Hudson Valley, there is no shortage of fresh local produce, hand crafted goods or live entertainment. Starting in the Spring and running through the Fall, there are farm stands or on-the-farm markets offering a bounty of in season produce. And the open-air farmers markets offering locally produced goods, cooking demos, music and kid’s events, make for a full day out with the family. Beacon Farmers' Market, Outdoor market at Veterans Place between Main and Henry Street (next to the Post Office) Sundays 10 am-3 pm. May to November. Indoor market VFW Hall 413 Main St. Sundays 10 am-2 pm. December to April.  

Breezy Hill Orchards 3012 Rt. 213, Stone Ridge. Farm stand is open weekdays 9 am-6 pm. Pick your own apples starting in September followed by raspberries and pumpkins. 845-266-3979.
