We at Hudson Valley Parent want to help you slow down, to find the time to see a musical with your children, to visit with Santa or build a Menorah. The Hudson Valley is bustling with holiday spirit this time of year we just have to find it!
Every day this month we are bringing you all the best details on a great event, holiday activity or family tradition. Check the updated calendar on our Holiday Happenings Page or follow us on Facebook.
One of our all-time favorite Christmas movies turns into a fabulous musical this weekend at the Woodstock Playhouse. All of the iconic scenes from the movie including Ralphie's friend flick, getting his tongue stuck to the flagpole; the leg lamp award; the bunny suit and many more are adapted to this feel good musical.
Perfect for children and adults alike, the life lessons of the movie are brought to life as Ralphie learns not to allow others to bully him, to mind his language, to cherish his family, to speak up and to be grateful along the way.
Tickets can be purchased at the box office 90 minutes prior to the show's start, in advance online at www.woodstockplayhouse.org or by calling 845-679-6900.
