Easter weekend happenings


It's Easter weekend and there are still lots of fun things for families to do. Egg hunts, photo ops, brunch and more. Hop to it!

Friday, April 18

Easter Egg Hunt at the Zoo. Admission includes egg hunt in the zoo, pony ride, admission for child and 1 adult. 3 timed slots. Bring your own basket! Reservations required. limited number of spots available. Special appearance by the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny will be hopping around the zoo during the egg hunts so be sure to stop and take a picture with him! 10am. Bailiwick Animal Park, 118 Castle Road, Catskill.

Easter Stay and Play. Come join us for some Easter Fun! Activities included with every entry include meet the Easter Bunny and take your own photos from 12pm-1pm. Bounce pillow, giant slide, Kids Corral playground area, NEW nature/hiking trails. Children ages 3 to 17/$9, Adults over 18/$4. Light snacks and refreshments available for purchase including local beer and cider. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Come have a picnic at the farm! 12pm. Harvest Moon Easter Egg Hunt. Our Easter Egg Hunt is for children ages 8 and under.  Tickets must be purchased prior to the event date. Cost is $22/ticket. Three age groups for children: Age 3 and under, Ages 4-6, and Ages 7-8. There are time slots for each age group. Each child's ticket includes: One (1) egg hunt session for one child, a basket for collecting eggs, a set of bunny ears, the chance to redeem eggs for a prize, and a visit with the Easter Bunny! Baskets will be provided. Please do not bring any outside baskets or bags. 10am. Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard, 130 Hardscrabble Rd, North Salem.

Photos with the Easter Bunny! Capture the magic of spring with Bunny photos at Galleria at Crystal Run! Visit Bunny’s set in JC Penney Court for a fun, Easter photo experience. Click on the ticket link to book your reservation to lock in the day and time of your choice and receive a complimentary gift valued at $20! 11am. 12th annual Easter Egg Hunt. Food, face painting, Easter Bunny, and prizes. Check in at 10am. Pre-registration is required. 11am. The Pallet Barn Christmas Tree Lane, 10 Christmas Tree Drive, Wallkill.

Bonnet Bonanza. Whether you’re visiting with friends, family, or little ones, Bonnet Bonanza is a must-see experience. Many of our alpacas and llamas love showing off their fabulous bonnets, and this year, we’ve added an all-new collection for them to strut their stuff in. Don’t miss out on the laughter, adorable moments, and endless photo opportunities! 10:30am. Lilymoore Alpaca Farm, 21 Moore Rd., Pleasant Valley.

Easter Breakfast. Come out and join us for breakfast. French toast, waffles, juice, coffee, and more. Have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny himself. 8am. Kerhonkson Accord First Aid Squad, 6055 Route 209, Kerhonkson.

The Easter Bunny comes to the firehouse. The Easter Bunny is excited to be coming back to the Grahamsville Firehouse again this year. Please join us with your little ones and don't forget your Easter basket as we've been told the bunny will be bringing eggs for all the kids and a special treat (for the first 100 kids). Bring your camera to have lasting memories of this special event. This event will be held inside. There will be coloring activities for the kids to do while waiting their turn to see the bunny. We will also be serving hot dogs, hot cocoa and cookies. This event is FREE as always. The auxiliary will be selling raffle tickets for an Easter Raffle Basket. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. 11am. The Easter Bunny Express. Shake off that winter chill and celebrate spring with a visit from the Easter Bunny! Passengers will visit with the friendly Easter Bunny before returning to Kingston. The train ride includes an Easter Egg Hunt for a perfect activity that’s fun for younger children and adults. Please allow 90 minutes for the complete train ride experience. 10am. Catskill Mountain Railroad Co., 55 Plaza Rd., Kingston.

Easter Egg Hunt. Get ready for an egg-citing adventure at the Town of New Windsor Recreation Department’s Easter Egg Hunt at Kristi Babcock Memorial Park! This residents-only event is packed with fun for all ages, but registration is required—don’t wait until the eggs are gone! Choose your pace:  Chill & Cheerful Egg Hunt (10-11am.) – A relaxed, all-ages hunt perfect for every bunny of any ability! Or test your speed in our Traditional, Fast-Paced Egg Hunts:  Ages 5 & under – 10am.  Ages 6-12 – 10:30am.  Teen Egg Frenzy (Ages 13-20) – 11am.  Adult Egg Scramble (Ages 21+) – 11:30am. Easter Egg Hunt. Join Hudson Valley Karate for a FREE Easter Egg Hunt. Guests are welcome! 7 & under: 9am - 10:30am, 8 & up 10:30am-12pm. Enjoy a fun-filled morning. 9am. Hudson Valley Karate, 751 Sergeant Palmateer Way, Wappingers Falls.

Easter Egg Hunt. A community event by Arlington Community Church and The Revolving Door. Come hear the Easter story! Games! Prizes! Snacks! An Easter Egg Hunt! All are welcome. 11am. Arlington Community Church, 22 Raymond Avenue, Poughkeepsie.

Easter on the Farm. Pancake breakfast, multiple crafts, music, skit, scavenger hunt for older children and egg hunt for the young ones.  Gift bags for everyone! Egg Hunts For All. Low Vision Egg Hunt at 10:30 am This hunt will be outside, and the children will "listen for the eggs that beep" - Parents must accompany child for extra help while seeking. Sensory Friendly Egg Hunt at 10:30 am Come join us for a relaxing version of this Easter tradition. There will be a smaller crowd and have a quiet environment so kids who are sensitive to loud noises and large crowds can focus on the EXPERIENCE instead of the RUSH. Wheelchair Accessible Egg Hunt at 11am At this hunt there will be different ways to collect eggs no matter your mobility level. Traditional Egg Hunt (*two age groups) Ages 6 and under & Ages 7 - 10 at 11am SHARP. All Egg Hunts will take place at designated location throughout Tymor Park and will begin PROMPTLY at the noted times.  Please plan to arrive a few minutes early. Naturally Decorated Duck Egg Ornaments. Celebrate spring by creating a beautiful duck egg! You'll discover how to make natural botanical dyes and see their unique and subtle colors ranging from soft saffron yellow to rich navy blue. You'll select a dyed egg and then decorate it with a wonderful variety of pressed flowers and foliage along with glass beads and delicate ribbons to create your masterpiece!
