Bunnies, baskets, and bonnets
Everybunny love the Easter Bunny!
HVP Staff
Dozens of parents submitted photos of their young ones snuggling with their siblings or the Easter Bunny, loading their baskets with goodies, dying eggs or showing off their baskets. Fun times were had by all.
But did you know that Easter egg hunts date back to at least the early 17th century in Europe? Popularity grew when German check reformer Martin Luther encouraged the tradition. Egg hunts are even listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The largest hunt ever involved 9,753 children and their parents in Winter Haven, Florida searching for 501,000 eggs back in 2007. That's a lot of food coloring!
For more photos of happy faces, register your child for our annual Cover Kid event in April. We're looking for kids 6 months to 16 years of age to appear on the magazine's covers in 2016 through 2017. Click here to register now!
