• Dana Larkin Mitchell, CPNP

We welcome Dana Larkin Mitchell (she’s always been called Larkin, ever since she was a young girl) to The Children’s Medical Group. Larkin grew up and trained in New York City, and has led an interesting life. She is a former gymnast and was an archeologist before going into medicine. She has traveled extensively, including relief work in Haiti as a member of an all-nursing team, which has given her a worldview and wide perspective about medical care. Larkin spent her early nursing career caring for critically ill children and newborns in intensive care. Larkin says, “My focus now in pediatrics is primarily with asthma, allergy and pulmonary conditions. I also work extensively with new moms regarding feeding and lactation issues, and when needed, I coordinate care with the best lactation consultants.”

    Specialty: Nurse Practitioner

Dana Larkin Mitchell is a wonderful children's doctor. My kids have gone to see her for their physical and for sick visits. Dana Larkin Mitchell takes her time with my kids, looks over them thoroughly, I never feel rushed! She listens to my concerns and answers all questions that I ask as well as questions my kids ask. She makes my kids feel comfortable to be there and makes them laugh. The best part about Dana Larkin Mitchell is that she calls me a week later to find out how my kids are doing after a sick visit. That right there shows she truly cares about her patients.
