Most farms and orchards are open for pick your own. The list below has been updated according to new regulations. You should visit the farm or orchard's website/Facebook page before visiting for any updated information. Please practice social distancing and happy picking.

Picking your own fruit is one of the many treasures of summer family memories. Strawberries which typically kick off the season will start late May to early June and only stay around for a few short weeks. Other berries for picking throughout the summer include blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. Scroll down to find a favorite farm near you.

As of June 30, 2020: Strawberries are done. Cherries and blueberries are ready. Peaches, nectarines and plums - late July. Blackberries ripen mid-August-mid-September. Raspberries come around mid-August.

Dutchess County

Barton Orchards, Cherries and blueberries. County Rte. 7 off Beekman Rd., Poughquag. Open Seasonally (June to December). 845-227-2306. Pick your own expected to start in July

Fishkill Farms, Cherries, black currants, blueberries and blackberries. 9 Fishkill Farms Rd., Hopewell Junction. Open daily, 9am-6pm, year-round. Chemical-free, organic. 845-897-4377. Socially distant picking is available by reservation only




Greig Farm, Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. 223 Pitcher Ln., Red Hook. Open May to Oct. Open Market 9am-5pm, 7 days per week.845-758-1234. Open for blueberry picking 8am-8pm every day of the week.

Orange County

Lawrence Farms, Strawberries, sweet cherries, tart cherries, currants, gooseberries and raspberries. Open 9am-4pm daily through October. 39 Colandrea Rd., Newburgh. 12550. 845-562-4268. Open

Ochs Orchards, Strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. 4 Ochs Ln., Rte. 94, Warwick. Open daily. 9am-5pm. June to Dec. Call for dates. 845-986-1591. Open

Pine Hill Farm You-pick raspberries and pumpkins. Sweet corn, tomatoes, flowers, plants, eggplant, string beans and more. Special heirloom tomatoes and white Hungarian peppers. Open 10am-6pm daily through October. 3298 Route 94, Chester. Strawberry pick-your-own closed. Blueberries will be in shortly. Open on Saturdays for pick your own fruits and veggies as everything comes into season


Ulster County
