Most farms and orchards open around June for pick your own. You should visit the farm or orchard's website/Facebook page before visiting for any updated information. 

Picking your own fruit is one of the many treasures of summer family memories. Check websites before going. Scroll down to find a favorite farm near you.

Strawberries will be ripe in June. Cherries usually come in late June. Blueberries and raspberries should be ripe in July.

Dutchess County



Fishkill Farms, Strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. You can also get peaches, nectarines, and pears in late summer. 9 Fishkill Farms Rd., Hopewell Junction. Open daily, 9am-6pm, beginning in June. Chemical-free, organic. Must make reservations. 845-897-4377. 


Greig Farm, Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. 223 Pitcher Ln., Red Hook. Open May to Oct. 9am-6pm, 7 days per week. 845-758-1234. 


Mead Orchards, Strawberries, cherries, and blueberries. 15 Scism Rd., Tivoli. 12583. Saturdays & Sundays, 10am-5pm. 


Rose Hill FarmCherries, blueberries, apricots, plums, peaches and apples. 8am-5pm, Thursday-Sunday. 19 Rose Hill Farm, Red Hook. 845-758-4215. 


Orange County


Halfway Acres, Organic U-pick blueberries. Open daily dawn to dusk. Season runs from the end of June until the first week of August. 200 Purgatory Rd., Campbell Hall. 845-397-2127. 


Lawrence Farms, Strawberries, sweet cherries, tart cherries, currants, gooseberries and raspberries. Peaches, pears and plums are available in August. Open 9am-4pm daily through October. 39 Colandrea Rd., Newburgh. 12550. 845-562-4268. 

Ochs Orchards, Strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. 4 Ochs Ln., Rte. 94, Warwick. Open Wednesday-Sunday, 9am-5pm. June to Dec. Call for dates and availability. 845-986-1591. 


Ulster County


Dressel Farms, Strawberries. Available beginning in mid-June. 9am-5pm. 271 Rte. 208, New Paltz. 845-255-0693. 


DuBois Farms. Strawberries, Nectarines, Plums, Apples, Peaches, Grapes, Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplant, Pumpkins, Flowers, and more. 0am-5pm. 209 Perkinsville Rd., Highland. 845-795-4037.


Jenkins and Leuken Orchards, Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Sunday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday-Saturday 9am-6pm. 69 Yankee Folley Rd, New Paltz. 12561. 845-255-0999. 


Prospect Hill Orchards, Cherries. Plums and apricots in July. Peaches in mid-August. Visit Thurs. or Fri. for smaller crowds. Due to popular demand, you must make reservations! 340 Milton Turnpike, Milton 12547. 845-795-2383. 


Saunderskill Farms, Strawberries and blueberries. Tuesday-Sunday 8am-4pm. 5100 Rte. 209, Accord. 12404.  845-626-2676. 

Kelder’s Farm You-pick fruits and vegetables, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, red currants, blackberries. Open 10-6pm Daily. Closed Wednesday. 5755 Route 209, Kerhonkson.
