Most farms and orchards open around June for pick your own. The list below has been updated according to new regulations. You should visit the farm or orchard's website/Facebook page before visiting for any updated information. Please practice social distancing and happy picking.

Picking your own fruit is one of the many treasures of summer family memories. Strawberries which typically kick off the season will start late May to early June and only stay around for a few short weeks. Other berries for picking throughout the summer include blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. Scroll down to find a favorite farm near you.

Strawberries are ready. Cherries and blueberries should be ready in July.

Dutchess County

Barton Orchards, Cherries, blueberries and peaches. County Rte. 7 off Beekman Rd., Poughquag. Although the farm opened daily starting April 9, PYO is currently closed. They will post details as it gets closer to picking season, typically late July or August. 845-227-2306. 

Fishkill Farms, Cherries, black currants, blueberries and blackberries. You can also get peaches and nectarines in late summer. 9 Fishkill Farms Rd., Hopewell Junction. Open daily, 9am-6pm, year-round. Chemical-free, organic. 845-897-4377. Opening early June, reservations required.




Greig Farm, Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. 223 Pitcher Ln., Red Hook. Open May to Oct. Open Market 9am-5pm, 7 days per week. 845-758-1234. Open for strawberries in early June, 9am-7pm every day of the week. 


Mead Orchards,  Blueberries, cherries, & strawberries. 15 Scism Rd., Tivoli. 12583. Aug.-Oct.: Sat.-Sun., Mon. holidays. 845-756-5641. Mon. to Wed. 9am to 3pm, Sat. & Sun. 9am to 5pmOpening in for PYO late June (no strawberries this year)


Rose Hill FarmCherries, blueberries, plums, apricots, nectarines, peaches and apples. 8am-5pm, Thursday-Sunday. 19 Rose Hill Farm, Red Hook. 845-758-4215. Opening late June





Orange County


Halfway Acres, Organic U-pick blueberries. Open daily dawn to dusk. 200 Purgatory Rd., Campbell Hall. 845-397-2127. No opening date yet.


Lawrence Farms, Strawberries, sweet cherries, tart cherries, currants, gooseberries and raspberries. Peaches, pear and plums are available in August. Open 9am-4pm daily through October. 39 Colandrea Rd., Newburgh. 12550. 845-562-4268. Opening in June

Ochs Orchards, Strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. 4 Ochs Ln., Rte. 94, Warwick. Open daily. 9am-5pm. June to Dec. Call for dates. 845-986-1591. Opening in June

Pine Hill Farm You-pick raspberries and pumpkins. Sweet corn, tomatoes, flowers, plants, eggplant, string beans and more. Special heirloom tomatoes and white Hungarian peppers. Open 10am-6pm daily through October. 3298 Route 94, Chester. Opening in June


Ulster County


Dressel Farms, Strawberries. 9am-5pm. 271 Rte. 208, New Paltz. 845-255-0693. Opening mid-June


DuBois Farms. Strawberries, Nectarines, Plums, Apples, Peaches, Grapes, Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplant, Pumpkins, Flowers, and more. 10am-5pm. 209 Perkinsville Rd., Highland. 845-795-4037.  Opening in June


Jenkins and Leuken Orchards, Blackberries and raspberries. Thursday-Sunday from 9am-5pm. 69 Yankee Folley Rd, New Paltz. 12561. 845-255-0999. Opening early June

Kelder’s Farm You-pick fruits and vegetables; strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc... Open 10 am-6pm. daily. 5755 Route 209, Kerhonkson. Opening June 3

Stone Ridge Orchard A pioneer in low-spray/ no-spray management. Gourmet farm market and pick-your-own raspberries. You can pick peaches in summer and pears in early fall. Open 9am-5pm. daily. 3012 E, Route 213, Stone Ridge. Opening in July

Wright’s Farm You-pick cherries and veggies. Bring a picnic lunch. Open September 8th-November 3rd 2019. 8am-4:30pm. 699 State Rd. Route 208, Gardiner. 845-255-5300. No opening date yet

Tantillo’s Farm Market, Cherries. Open May- November from 9am-6pm daily from March-December. 730 State Rte. 208, Gardiner, 12525. 845-256-9109. No opening date yet
