East Fishkill Provisions

25 flavors of soft-serve plus homemade ice cream sandwiches, cakes and more! They also have a full service deli grill, catering, pig roast and more available for some of the most delicious foods in Dutchess County!

Holy Cow

7270 S Broadway, Ste 1, Red Hook. 845-758-5959. Serves ice cream and frozen yogurt. All of the ice cream is locally made, super rich and creamy, and budget-friendly.

Joe’s Dairy Bar 
550 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. 845-221-0488.
Another local family-owned staple, Joe’s has options for everyone in the family’s tastes ice cream sandwiches, hard ice cream, slush puppies, soft-serve yogurt, and even chili from a secret family recipe on the savory food side.

Kelly's Creamery & Kelly's Husband's Truck
3202 Route 22, Dover Plains. 845-442-9366.
This ice cream spot serves up super delicious artisanal ice cream. They carry over 30+ flavors of ice cream and 20+ flavors of Italian ice. You can also grab a sundae, ice cream cake, or flying saucer. If you're hungry, walk across the parking lot and visit the food truck. Kelly's husband cooks up a variety of gourmet burgers, hot dogs, chicken and more! As an extra bonus, there is now an 18 hole mini golf course.

Ron's Ice Cream
298 Fishkill Ave., Beacon. 845-838-2028.
A Beacon favorite, Ron's is one of the only places in the area to be serving up Dole Soft Serve, a dairy free, vegan friendly, lactose free, all natural coloring 'ice cream'! They are reasonably priced with twenty different flavors. 

Spoons

Spoons Ice Cream is a boutique ice cream store specializing in gourmet sundaes, ice cream cakes and colossal milkshakes that feature sweet treats from local small businesses! Over 24 flavors of hard ice cream including gluten free, vegan, no sugar added & dairy-free options as well as soft-serve ice cream.

Utterly Delicious   
1898 Route 44, Pleasant Valley. 845-838-2028.
A wide variety of flavors, they have soft-serve ice cream and yogurt plus 16 flavors of hard ice cream. They also have delicious homemade ice cream sandwiches and cakes.

Village Creamery
14 Mill St., Wappingers Falls. 845-297-0306.
The Village Creamery is a neighborhood favorite! They have soft serve and hard ice cream for your family and the famous Dogwich for your fur baby! Grill is open daily cooking up hot dogs, burgers and much more. 

Zoes's Ice Cream Barn   
1181 Route 55, Lagrangeville. 845-454-7108.
From cow to cone in 3 days! All of their ice cream is made daily using only Hudson Valley Fresh dairy products and the most natural products you can find. Open year round, order some lunch or dinner fresh from the grill and some ice cream to go. Zoe's also offers family-friendly events throughout the year and birthday parties too!

ORANGE COUNTY

Bellvale Farms Creamery   
1390 Route 17A, Warwick. 845-988-1818.
This barn- style creamery is located at the top of Mt. Peter (yes, you can hike or drive!) and has quite a spectacular view! The specialty flavors and homemade ice cream and waffle cones feature fresh ingredients grown right on the farm makes the ice cream here some of the freshest you will ever taste. 12-9PM every day.

Caffé á la Mode 
1 Oakland Ave., Warwick. 845-986-1223.
Most famously known for their delicious imported, flavored and seasonal coffees, Caffé a la Mode has something for everyone. No matter your age, this café has become a favorite meeting place among the locals. They have breakfast and lunch featuring homemade salads, wraps and more plus shakes and specialty frozen drinks!

Cherry Top Dairy Bar    
949 Route 32, Newburgh. 845-564-6340.
The gigantic ice cream sundae on top of the building will pull you in, but the ice cream will keep you! Soft-serve flavors of the week offer constant variety, and if you’re having trouble picking just one favor, you can swirl two together. 

Chester Ice Cream

This family-owned shop serves up premium homemade ice cream. There are family favorite flavors and homemade ice cream-cakes for any special occasion. Open 12 - 9pm daily.

The Ice Mother and Sons

The Ice Mother is an over the top Italian Ice truck that will bring you right back to the good 'ole days. They have unique flavors, old favorites and the best part... give them a call and they will deliver!

Family Farm Ice Cream

They have more than 50 flavors, including soft serve, Italian ice, vegan-nondairy, stuffed shakes, sundaes, flurries, ice cream cakes, and lots more!! Opening day is Feb. 3, 2023.

Frostee Freeze

Cater to your sweet tooth with help from this hometown ice cream stand. From delicious milkshakes to hand made cakes and everything in between! Stop by and pick up a delicious gyro and dessert. 

Junior’s Corner

This convenient little spot serves a variety of food, soups, hot drinks, ice cream and more! You can also order an ice cream cake for your special occasions.

Mary Jane’s Dairy Bar

A classic ice cream shop serving up homemade ice cream sundaes, creamy soft serve, or refreshing Italian ice, Mary Jane’s has comfort desserts you can count on. They also offer a huge selection of food, so you can take the full night off from cooking if you’d like! (Temporarily closed)

Midnight Ferry

Delicious homemade ice cream with flavors like pistachio, campfire s'mores and dulce de leche with a choice of cones. You can decorate your cone with all kinds of yummy toppings. They also have soft serve, shakes, floats, egg creams, sundaes and ice cream sandwiches. You can also grab a hot dog and a coffee or other drink. They even have a vegan vanilla ice cream. Newburgh Dairy and Grill

Dairy Island has been reborn into the Newburgh Dairy and Grill. The new owner worked with the previous owner to deliver the same treats that it always has. You can get cones, sundaes, banana splits and lots more. Plus you can grab a little something to eat too. (Temporarily closed)

Richard’s Dairy Shed

This family-owned Montgomery staple is always a crowd favorite. Richard’s offers a vast menu (including food) from classic chocolate and vanilla to birthday cake to brownie sundaes. The scoops are quite generous, so be sure to bring your appetite. (Temporarily closed)

Wally's Ice Cream Parlor

A sip of Wally's root beer floats will bring you back to your childhood days or enjoy one of their other many delicious flavors. Wally's offers a large sweet treat menu including soft serve, frozen yogurt, hard ice cream, ices and rumor has it their shakes are to die for.

Weir’s Ice Cream

Hudson Valley residents have all different experiences, but chances are if they’ve lived in the area for a while, they’ve been to Weir’s. The stand has all the treats you could want; hard and soft ice cream, shakes, floats, sherbet, yogurt, Italian ice, slush drinks, and more. They often runs specials and promotions to support teams and organizations in the community.

ULSTER COUNTY

Barthel's Farm Market & Creamery

Boice Brothers Dairy The Milk House

Talk about a Hudson Valley staple, Boice Brothers Dairy has been around for more than 100 years. all dairy products are made on premises. Ice cream cakes are one of the store specialties, along with hard ice cream.

Cherries Ice Cream Bar & Grill

Come for the deli sandwiches, stay for the specialty sundaes. Cherries also has a delicious catering menu to spice up your next family party. 

Frozen Caboose   
Haviland Rd., Highland. 845-834-3774.
Right near the Walkway Over the Hudson, you can stop by for a frozen treat after your afternoon walk. They have dozens of unique flavors to choose from - both hard and soft ice cream- and even offer ice cream for your dog after a hot walk across the bridge. You won't be disappointed at Frozen Caboose!

Jolly Cow

A 50s style ice cream shop with a life-size cow out front your can't miss. Locals say the Jolly Cow is a nice surprising treat and true community shop. Reasonably prices with huge heaping piles of ice cream and large selection of frozen treats, including dairy free options. Check out the twist'em, stack'em and ice cream sandwich specials when you are there too.

Mickey’s Igloo 3   
72 Main St., Saugerties. 845-247-7443.
Sometimes a gigantic dessert is the only dessert that will do. Luckily, Mickey’s Igloo has a colossal-size sundae special to lift you up when it’s been one of those days. If you can’t stomach a treat quite that hefty, you can always get a specialty sundae, shake, shaved ice, malt, hard ice cream, and much more in a regular size.

Tantillo’s Farm Market   
730 State Route 208, Gardiner. 845-256-9109.
The ice cream stand section of this seasonal farmer’s market sells treats with fresh fruit toppings grown right on site. You can opt for a classic dessert, like a malt or a banana split, or sample the fruits of the farm with a hot apple crisp sundae, strawberry shortcake sundae, or peach Melba sundae. All the food is kosher and gluten-free, so those dietary restrictions won’t hold you back.

PUTNAM COUNTY

Moo Moos Creamery

Uncle Louie G's Italian Ices & Ice Cream
