Banquet for Breast Cancer Survivors and Their Caregivers
Capital Region Action Against Breast Cancer (CRAAB!) will hold its Second Annual Survivor/Caregiver Banquet on Friday, September 19, at the Crowne Plaza in Albany. The theme this year is "Healing in Harmony."
Breast cancer survivors and their primary caregivers will enjoy a buffet dinner and "harmonious" musical entertainment. The evening will be one of joyful celebration, hope and inspiration as CRAAB! recognizes the many voices that contribute to an individual's healing ? from friends and family, to the medical community, to the community at large.
Capital Region Action Against Breast Cancer (CRAAB!) is a non-profit, community-based organization, founded in 1997, whose mission is to help eradicate breast cancer through education and advocacy, and to close gaps in the services and resources available to breast cancer survivors.
CRAAB!'S free services and programs include the CRAAB! Breast Cancer Resource Guide ? given to hundreds of newly diagnosed women in the Capital Region, the Essentials Book Mark ? provided to 98 libraries in upstate New York, informative newsletters, educational programs, support groups, expressive therapy workshops, and much more!
The event is open to everyone whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. Each breast cancer survivor and her primary caregiver is invited to attend the banquet free, as guests of CRAAB! Reservations by August 29 are required. Call 518-462-4472 for more information.
