October 4

Craft and Vendor Fair Fundraiser. Don’t miss this fun day of shopping, community, and giving back! 40+ local vendors & crafters, Raffles, Unique finds & handmade goods, and food vendors. FREE Door Prize Drawing! $1.00 Admission to benefit our non-profit benefactors. This event is being held to help raise money for our fundraising benefactors of the Town of Saugerties Animal Shelter, The Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVNCVR), and Trinity Food Pantry! Stony Kill Harvest Fest. An afternoon of fall fun including homemade soups, crafts, vendors, food, and barn and livestock tours. (rain date Oct 5). Wappingers Falls. 11am.

October 4-5

Handcrafted Octoberfest at Rhinebeck. Visitors can indulge in seasonal food delights, enjoy a pint in the lively beer garden, and be entertained by live music and themed performers. Kids will love the family art and crafts area, complete with creative free play and seasonal programming. Plus, don’t miss ongoing demonstrations from woodworkers, fiber spinners, metal forgers, jewelers, and even an expert pumpkin carver. If you’re feeling autumnal, hop on a horse-drawn carriage ride around the fairgrounds, and catch a weigh-in of giant pumpkins—one of which will likely top 1,200 pounds! Rhinebeck. 10am.

Kesicke Fall Festival. Spend the day enjoying the corn maze, wagon rides through the corn, hayrides, feed and pet the farm animals, and try their delicious apple cider donuts. Kesicke Farm, Rhinebeck. 10am.

11th Annual Harvest FestivalThis year our annual Harvest Festival will be the first four weekends in October.  Enjoy our hayride to our PYO pumpkin patch and corn maze, as well as lots of fun family activities! Soukup Farms, Dover Plains. 11am.

October 11

Market Day Craft Fair in FishkillDiscover handmade treasures from 25+ arts and crafts vendors—pressed flower gifts, pottery, jewelry, candles, quilted bags, and more. Enjoy homemade soups, chili, baked goods, and made-to-order apple fritters from the Fishkill Historical Society’s concession stands. Tour the Revolutionary War-era Van Wyck Homestead Museum, shop the outdoor gift tent, and enjoy live music by Steve Kelman. Rain date: Sunday, October 12. Fishkill. 11am.

Creative Explorations - Wet Wool Felting for Kids. In honor of the Sheep & Wool Festival held at Dutchess County Fairgrounds each October, try this wool felting project for beginners. Using wet, soapy water and lots of rolling, you will make a small, decorative piece of wool! The age range for this program is 2-12. Millbrook. 4pm. 

October 18

First Annual Big Apples Fest. Spend the day at the ballpark enjoying the best of fall with local farms and vendors, seasonal beverages, hayrides, baking contests, fair games with prizes, inflatables, crafts, and live music. Apples From New York will be on-site handing out a variety of locally grown New York State apples! Wappingers Falls. 10am.

Wicked Wappingers Halloween festival and parade. The Village of Wappingers Falls Recreation Department is so excited to invite you to this year's Halloween festival and parade: Wicked Wappingers. It will be a day of spooky celebration at the Village of Wappingers Falls. We'll be kicking off the festivities right after the parade at Mesier Park where there will be Trunk or Treat, music, food, vendors, costume contests, best decorated trunk contest, and games. The parade lines up on E. Main Street by the bridge, near Market Street. Marching will begin at noon. going toward Mesier Park. Festival: after parade. (Rain date: October 19). Wappingers Falls. 12pm.

October 18-19

New York Sheep & Wool Festival. Attendees will see knitters, crocheters, hand spinners and growers of natural-fiber-producing livestock. Over 300 wool & fiber arts and vendors of materials and tools associated with all things wool make up the show. Plus, workshops, kids' activities and sheep shows. Rhinebeck. 9am.

Beacon Sloop Club Pumpkin Festival. Two solar powered music stages, one dedicated for young folks (children) to enjoy, will provide live music throughout the day. Numerous food and craft vendors will be on hand. Environmental non-profits will feature displays of local river history and the environment including information about their organization. Families can enjoy many free activities for children in addition to the dedicated children’s stage. The Beacon Sloop Club’s boat, the Woody Guthrie, will be taking guests on free sails from the Beacon Harbor, weather permitting. The public may sign up for an afternoon sail to relax and experience the beauty, power and grandeur of the Hudson. Sign up at the Beacon Sloop Club table starting at noon. Beacon. 12pm.

Poughkeepsie Farm Project's Harvest Fest at Vassar Farms. Enjoy a day filled with food, music, and community on the farm. Poughkeepsie Farm Project, 51 Vassar Farm Lane, Poughkeepsie. 12pm.

Fall Fest 2025. Step right up and join us for a fantastic and free fall family event! Get ready to experience a day filled with carnival games, bounce houses, arts & crafts, and a helicopter candy drop! Watch as the sky sprinkles with sweet treats, creating a magical moment for all. But that’s not all! Enjoy some free snacks, including chips, cotton candy, and more. This event is free for anyone in the community! Splash Down, 16 Old Route 9 W, Fishkill. 2pm.

Stony Kill Spooktacular. An evening of not-so-haunted Halloween fun on the farm with our haunted barn, potion maker, I Spy Spooky Garden, and haunted hayrides. (rain date Oct 26). Wappingers Falls. 4pm.

Field of Friends Fall Festival Series- Day 1. Take a hayride to our Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch, try to conquer our 3-acre corn maze, jam out to 6 hours of live music, have some drinks, eat some food, enjoy our endless activities and take in all that fall has to offer at Echo Fields. Good Vibes and Tractor Rides Fall Festival. Absolutely amazing pumpkin picking, live music, pony rides, our new CORN MAZE and much more! Free Parking, $10 general admission, $15 admission with wristbands for the bounce house park. Wagon Wheel Farm, Goshen. 12pm.

Warwick Applefest. Join the Village of Warwick to celebrate the 35th Annual Applefest with over 200 craft vendors, dozens of food vendors, and live music & entertainment on several stages all day. Festivities include a carnival, local farmers' market, an Apple Pie Baking Contest, and more. Warwick. 9am.


Pumpkin Palooza. Come explore our fields which have dozens of varieties and colored pumpkins. 3-acre haunted corn maze, over 40 games and activities for all ages, Hayrides. pumpkin picking, music, food, drinks, and fun. Echo Fields, Westtown. 11am.

Explore handmade crafts, artisanal foods, and farm-fresh goods from 50+ makers. Enjoy live demos, delicious bites, alpaca meet-and-greets, and the charm of Museum Village’s 19th-century setting. New York Empanada Festival 6. Enjoy a full day of empanada heaven featuring food trucks, caterers, and restaurants serving up unique and mouth-watering recipes from across New York State. This is more than just food – it’s a Latin cultural experience with: Live Latin music and the best DJs all day, family-friendly activities and fun for the kids. Sugar Loaf Fall Festival. There will be unique artisan shoppes showcasing one-of-a-kind creations, vendors with a variety of amazing finds, witches' parade, family-friendly activities: Face painting, petting zoo, bouncy houses, and a kids' zone, food trucks, beer garden, wine bar, and tastings for the adults. Warwick Children’s Book Festival. About seventy distinguished, award-winning authors and illustrators of books for children (ages 0-14) will be on hand to meet readers, sign and sell their books. Plus, a children's concert, face painting, crafts and food trucksWarwick Valley Middle School Gymnasium, Warwick. 11am.

2nd Annual Fall Fest at Mount Peter Ski Area. New York’s Family Mountain is inviting the community to come together for a day of food, music, family activities, sky rides and artisan shopping, all set against the backdrop of Hudson Valley’s peak foliage. Admission is $15 per vehicle. Warwick. 11am.

Pumpkinfest. The day features pumpkin painting, face painting, bouncy houses, touch-a-tractor, fire truck, entertainment, crafts, activities, games and many exciting surprises. Plus, enjoy food, ice cream, and tasty treats from onsite vendors. Pine Island Town Park, Pine Island. 11am.

Halloween Festival. Check out the fun including the Bark Park Howlaween Costume Party, Trick or Treat throughout the Village, Greenwood Lake Fire Department Parade, Terror Trail with scare or no scare options, Hayrides, and lots more. Village of Greenwood Lake. 3pm.

LOUD 5th Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival. Join this vibrant block party celebrating Hispanic culture and community! Live Performances, Delicious Food Vendors featuring authentic flavors from across Latin America, Local Vendors & Artisans, Community Resources, Family Fun – music, dancing, and activities for all ages. This celebration honors the rich traditions, music, and stories of Hispanic heritage while highlighting the strength and diversity of our community. Kingston. 12pm.

Field + Supply Fall MRKT. Field + Supply MRKTs are modern interpretations of traditional arts and crafts fairs. The events showcase an elevated selection of carefully curated makers highlighting goods, old and new, from a wide variety of studios and workshops. The MRKTs feature over 275 vendors, live music, local eats, and other unique experiences. The events attract thousands of attendees each season creating a festival-like atmosphere that the entire family can enjoy. High Falls. 10am.

Fall Fest 2025. This is a great event to explore all of what the Ulster County 4-H program has to offer! This event will allow you the opportunity to meet with our club members and volunteers through one-on-one conversations and interactive activities including animals, all while enjoying a famous delicious 4-H milkshake! New Paltz. 10am.

October 11-12

Belleayre Fall Festival. Celebrate fall with live music, food, crafts, gondola rides, pumpkin decorating, lawn games, K9 demos, and more at our mountain-top Fall Festival! Highmount. 11am.

October 12

Ulster County Italian Festival. This family-friendly festival features live music on two stages, dozens of food vendors, a spaghetti eating contest, cooking demonstrations, children's activities, many photo opportunities, and more! Kingston. 12pm.

Bernstein Bard Trio LIVE. See Bernstein Bard Trio live at Hurds Family Farm during our Fall Festival. Free admission, activities and apple bags available for purchase. Modena. 1pm.

October 13

Indigenous Peoples Day. The Cafe will be open and we will have plenty of apples available for picking. This is a family friendly event, the playground will be open, tractor rides begin at noon, and we allow friendly, leashed dogs on the property. Admission tickets are required for all guests 5 and older to enter the orchard and winery. Event is held rain or shine. *General Admission ticket fee does not include any food, drinks, or produce. Marlboro. 10am.

October 18

New York Sheep & Wool Festival. People "flock" from all over the country and as far away as Australia and Europe to attend the annual New York State Sheep and Wool Festival held in October at the bucolic Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Attendees include knitters, crocheters, hand spinners and growers of natural-fiber-producing livestock. Although you will find many people who have no interest in the wool and fiber industry who come to one of the Northeast's truly unique events. Over 300 wool & fiber arts and vendors of materials and tools associated with all things wool make up the show. Kingston. 

October 19

28th Annual Rosendale International Pickle Festival. Over 100 vendors selling pickles, groceries, hot food, baked goods, crafts, fashion, jewelry, and more. There’s a home pickling contest and the Pickle Triathlon offers a pickle eating contest, pickle juice drinking and a pickle toss. New Paltz. 10am.

Fall Family Fun Fest 2025. Celebrate fall in the Catskills with the whole family. Help us make cider and then sample your hard work! Fresh apple cidering – hot & cold tastings, food vendors, pumpkin decorating, guided hikes, and blacksmithing. Self-guided hiking available 'til sundown. Olivebridge. 12pm.

October 25-26

The Great Pumpkin Food Truck Takeover Festival. There will be lots of family friendly activities, pumpkin picking, face painting, playground, hayrides, and live music! Bring the kids in costume for trick or treating, music and entertainment will be provided. We will be serving fall themed food and drinks-seasonal beers and sangria, and delicious Jane’s ice cream. Don’t forget to get your apple cider donuts and caramel apples! Weed Orchards has beautiful views and lots of opportunities for outdoor family photos! The bakery will be stocked with fresh baked goods and pies, and we will have pumpkins and mums for sale. The MyKingstonKids Halloween Fest & Parade 2025. The theme: Wizards and Sorcerers. Get ready for a spellbinding weekend of costumes, candy, games, and magical fun for the whole family! Join us as we transform Kingston into a realm of wizardry and wonder. The celebration kicks off with the annual Halloween Parade on Saturday at 2pm, followed by the festival: Saturday: 3pm–7pm & Sunday: 1pm–5pm. Peace, Love, & Pumpkins. Bethel Woods brings a cornucopia of family-friendly Halloween fun to their historic grounds this fall. During this walk-thru experience, guests will wind through the garden trails of beautiful Bethel Woods, highlighting thousands of unique hand-carved jack-o-lanterns and glowing displays of themed pumpkin art.
