5 must-haves for homeschoolers

Get prepared for September

School is just around the corner. No matter what your child’s education looks like, with a new school year comes a whole new batch of needs. We have listed the 5 top necessities no homeschooler should go without!

1. A designated space. It is important to create a space within the home that is specifically meant for schooling. Fill this area with all the supplies you will need throughout the day. This area is meant for education and should be conducive for your child’s learning. Get desks or a small table and chairs.

2. Computer. A working computer with a great wi-fi connection is necessary for every homeschooler. The internet is full of incredible learning games for kids, educational videos and even fun break time activities.

3. Bins, cubbies or caddies. Organization is important, so make sure you use the type that works best for you and your homeschooler. Separate supplies into different areas of the room and make the child responsible for keeping their things organized. Put art supplies in one place, math resources in another and basic supplies in another. Stay organized throughout the day to maximize time for learning and fun.

4. Dry erase boards. Dry erase boards are a must have in any homeschooling environment. Kids will be able to learn hands on and participate up at the board
