The Goddard School, a franchised business, is much newer as the first Goddard Early Learning Center opened in 1986 in Pennsylvania. The Goddard Schools provide childcare and preschool for children six weeks to six years old. The schools philosophy focuses on the whole child including social, emotional, intellectual and physical development based on the teachings of both Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson.
