    Good Shepherd Christian School is a non-denominational Pre-K through 8th grade elementary school serving the Ulster and Northern Dutchess communities. Our mission is to "raise up well-educated children who know the Lord and choose to serve Him". Founded in 1979, Good Shepherd Christian School provides a Christ-centered learning environment characterized by the warmth of Christian love with small classroom settings. Our program is guided by an exceptional team of dedicated and experienced faculty, Good Shepherd Christian School provides an academically challenging program that works in conjunction with the family and their local church. No student will be considered ineligible on the basis of sex, race, national, or ethnic origin. Good Shepherd Christian School is a ministry of Morning Star Christian Fellowship in conjunction with local churches.

MOST AWESOME SCHOOL EVER!!

When you want your children to go to a school that provides the top education provided by the best teachers out there, take them to Good Shepherd. They will be smarter, brighter, happier and filled with the most spirit inside and out you'll ever know. What an amazing turn around our child has received by going to Good Shepherd. She has confidence, self esteem, academic achievement and has a totally new and happy future. Great Little School With A Big Heart

I love this place! My oldest came to GSCS when he was in 4th grade. He made friends quickly and his teachers were outstanding. He is 16 now and the base that he received at GSCS helped him transition to High School effortlessly. I also have an 8-year-old who is in 4th grade. He loves school and his teachers, too. The principal, Mr. Vondell, is fabulous! He has a heart for all the kids and wants the very best for every one of them. If you are looking for Christ centered education and small class sizes, GSCS is it!

Nowhere else I'd rather my child be

My child has been in this school since kindergarten. He is now in the 4th grade and I couldn't imagine him being anywhere else. The class sizes are small, the teachers are patient, caring and attentive. Every single staff member at this school from teachers, to office staff and the principal are so supportive, and very focused on your child's progression while also upholding Christian values. My son often comes home excited about what he has learned and that's very important to me. I can't say enough about GSCS

A wonderful School with a heart for the community!

I'm very thankful for the generosity of the Children, Parents, and Staff of GSCS. They partner with OCC (Operation Christmas Child) every year and collect toys, hygiene items, and school supplies for the needy Children around the world. Some of the Students & Parents volunteer their time to pack and ship these gifts at the local OCC Center. I'm also aware of other local community needs that the Students have given their time and effort to help. Truly a School with a heart!

We love Good Shepherd!

We absolutely love Good Shepherd Christian school for all of our little ones. We not only are so happy to send our children to a place where they are shaped and molded based on our beliefs, but where they are nurtured and loved. Small classes with amazing teachers, great communication between teachers and parents and a principle who is very involved. The children love learning and the education is phenomenal due to great curriculum, smaller class sizes and dedicated and passionate teachers.

My family couldn't be any happier. GSCS has provided our children with a solid education based on proven methods and research. Curriculum is taught along with morals,values, respect, and humanity. There is no going back to public school after this.
