    The Hurley Nursery School is a small, not for profit school with the philosophy of learn to play, play to learn. This can be seen in everyday activities that are planned by our Head Teacher who brings more than 20 years of teaching experience to the classroom. The school is a part of Kingston City Schools’ Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program and offers three different programs ranging from 18 months to four years old which gradually increase the students’ time at school in order to create a smooth transition to full day kindergarten.

A Great Place to Send Your Child

My daughter absolutely loved her time at The Hurley Nursery School. She is now in kindergarten and is thriving. My son is now in Toddler Time and looks forward to it every week! It is such a great environment for kids to grow emotionally, socially, and academically.

Amazing experience

Hurley Nursery School has been such an amazing experience for my son and for our family! We were new to the area when we were looking for preschools and it was the first and last school we liked at...we knew just by meeting the teachers and seeing the classroom atmosphere that we had hit the jackpot! We are now in our second year there doing pre-k having gone through the 3 year old program prior. The growth we have seen in our son is incredible!! You couldn't ask for better people to be with your children teaching them and working with them everyday

Excellent Play to Learn atmosphere

My son had never been outside of the house for schooling or a daycare setting prior to his experience at Hurley Nursery School. He was nervous and so was I. This is his second year now and he is thriving. The teachers made the transition so easy for the two of us and I would leave him knowing he was in great hands. He enjoyed it so much he asks to go to school on weekends. At 2 years old my daughter is now enjoying her time at Hurley Nursery school with the help of the amazing teachers. She even, "plays school," at home using the teachers names specifically. Lots of play and learning rolled into one great school!

Caring, Fun, Educational Atomosphere

Hurley Nursery School is an excellent school for pre-school aged children. It is a warm family atmosphere and the kids are taught in a fun caring manner. I can’t believe the improvements educationally and socially my child has gained by attending Hurley Nursery School.

Excellent Community School

I first heard about the school from a neighbor. Her children went there and she was thrilled. I have now had experience with Toddler Time, the Three Year Old Class, the Four Year Old Class, and their Enrichment program. I couldn't be happier! My son was more than prepared for kindergarten, not only academically, but he learned how to share and take turns. Mrs. Cotter, the teacher, is wonderful!!! I am so happy my second child is able to go there too!

Wonderful Nursery School

Great nursery school program for children in the Kingston, NY area. My daughter went for My Grown Up and Me(now called Toddler Time), the 3 year old class and UPK (4 year old class). Great parent involvement and great first school experience.
