Line up the babysitters and treat yourself!

kid-free getaway ideas

Go on a kid-free getaway
How long has it been since you and your partner took a trip sans kids? You love spending time with your kids, but it is important for you to have some adult time without singing the itsy-bitsy spider or cutting anybody's crust off.

Treat yourself to a mini-vacation this year. Take a long weekend from work and go somewhere you and your partner used to love when you first started dating! It's important to get out and away from the house. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to touch the laundry or finish that one thing you needed to do (that we all know will turn into twenty).

Reconnect with your partner and yourself. Disconnect from technology (cell phones are for emergency contact with babysitter only!) and give yourself time to relax doing your favorite thing. Read a book that doesn't have cardboard pages and soak in your own special bubble bath.
