Are boys supposed to get the HPV vaccine? At what age?
Maria Bernardez, MD, of Orange Pediatric Care provides the answer
The CDC actually recommends that boys aged 11 and 12 receive 3 doses of the HPV vaccine. Older males up to age 26 can get it, too. Sometimes, though, there is a time lag between recommendations and when the insurance companies decide that they will pay for it.
