Ice Time has its own ice hockey league and figure skating club, and hosts special events. The rink has a concession stand and game room for those who need a break.

McCann Ice Arena

McCann offers skating lessons, a hockey skill development clinic, and birthday parties. There is also a Learn to Skate program for skaters who have little to no skating experience. The $130 program includes one free pass to practice during a public session and a free pair of figure or hockey skates for you to keep when you register.

Playland Ice Casino


Home to the Manhattanville Valiants hockey team, the Casino offers three rinks, a game room, and snack bar for breaks off the ice. Friday nights a DJ takes over from 8:30pm-11pm, and plays requests. The Casino has rentals for groups or birthday parties.

This twin rink facility features competitive figure skating (instructors have trained Olympic skaters), snack bar, pro shop, and more. They also offer a free hockey clinic for beginners on Sundays at 2pm and a skating school with classes taught by certified Professional Skaters Association (PSA) instructors.

Bear Mountain State Park

Private skate sessions are available, but must be reserved by calling the office. Other winter fun includes sledding hills and trails for cross country skiing.

There are no extra frills at this pond, so bring your own thermos of hot cocoa. Skating is available when the flag beside the pond is green; when the flag is red skating is a no go.

Thomas Bull Memorial Park


At 719 acres, Thomas Bull is the largest developed park in the County’s park system. The extensive grounds include an artificial pond for skating. Signs are posted when it’s safe to skate.

Windham Mountain Adventure Park


Along with the skating area complete a warming fire pit, the Park includes 650-foot snow-covered slopes for snow tubing. Private parties can also be arranged when the park is not open to the public.

Winding Hills Park


Skating and ice fishing available when the ice is safe enough to skate upon. There is also snow-mobiling when the trails are covered in a sufficient amount of snow.
